João Dias says that the gastronomic world chose when he had his foray into culinary work back in 2008. In 2011 João got his culinary degree in Management and Productions, and a year later moved to London to work at one of the world's most famous luxury hotels: The Ritz.
João spent years traveling the world and refining his cooking skills before ending up in Washington DC in 2015 as the Embassy of Portugal's head chef where he served numerous dignitaries, including Vice President Joe Biden.
In 2017 João arrived in New York City to become the Head Chef of the Brazilian Mission to the United Nations. He has cooked for 3 Brazilian Presidents and the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, on multiple occasions.
Finally, João joined the Portable Provisions team to become a Sous Chef and continue serving some of New York City's finest.
